To make your japanese cooking & shopping experience easy, I have
included pictures of the japanese dishes, ingredients and name brands. This is one of my
favorite japanese food to warm cold evening! I like to slow cook it like a stew for
maximum flavor, but it's also great as a quick make meal. Give it a try - you'll love it
even if you don't think you like curry.

Recipe Ingredients:
2-3 cups of cooked rice
1 package curry sauce mix (S&B Golden Curry or other brand, I like
medium-hot)
2-3 lbs. of chicken or pork butt roast
6-7 cups of water
5 potatoes - cubed
1 onion -diced
1 cup of frozen sweet peas
In a large stew pot add the pork or chicken and cover with water (about 6 cups). Bring
to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook till tender. Remove meat and cut into cubes. Place
broth in an oil separator and discard oil. Place broth back into the stew pot. Break the
curry mix and add to broth (add additional water if necessary). Stir until curry cubes are
completely melted. Add meat, potatoes, onions. Simmer until potatoes are cooked (20 min.).
Add frozen peas. Stir and cook 5 more minutes. Serve on a bed of rice.
Hope you enjoy my curry rice
recipe! For more of my japanese recipes click the links in left border.
